森林文化アカデミーで漆の講座を担当していただいている漆芸家・登根円さんから展示会のお知らせをいただきました。
ともにJR岐阜駅「アクティブG」で工房を構える登根さんと、金工家・青山幸雄さんの二人展です。登根さんは木に、青山さんは金属に、漆を用いた作品を発表しておられます。
「アクティブG」には木、金属、ガラス、漆などいくつもの工房が軒を連ね、このような異素材の作家同士の共同作業や展示会が生まれているようで、いいですね。

Madoka Tone, a Japanese lacquer artist who teaches lacquering at the Academy, is having a joint exhibition with a metal artist Yukio Aoyama. Both of them run their own workshop/gallery at the Gifu station building 'Active G'. Tone applies Japanese lacquer on wood, whereas Aoyama bakes lacquer on his metalware.
Active G houses various workshops of woodworker, metalsmith, glassworker and lacquerer. They often collaborate with each other and have exhibitions together.
