岐阜県立森林文化アカデミーの久津輪です。

森林文化アカデミーでは木工部門の教員を公募しています。

助教および講師クラスですので、ある程度若い方ということになります。
森林文化アカデミーは林業や木造建築などの学科がある学校ですので、針葉樹や間伐材を積極的に利用したり、林業や建築の分野とも連携して活動しています。
また、木育にも力を入れています。

green woodwork demo at Takayama furniture show / 高山の家具見本市で実演します

I am demonstrating green woodwork at a big furniture show in Takayama, one of the biggest production centre in Japan, this week. The event is organized by the association of furniture companies in Takayama. They exhibit their new range of furniture every year. This year they invite me for stool-making demo with their workers.

It is interesting that the most advanced furniture industry find green woodwork as an important technique, especially for the education of their workers. The photos show the two-days stool making course which I organized for them last year.
