折り畳み式の小さな小さな削り馬（シェービングホース）を作ってみました。削り馬は、椅子の脚などを作るための木を削る道具です。
先日グリーンウッドワークの仕事で旭川へ出かけたとき、道具の小型化が課題、と思ったためです。
世界では実にさまざまな形のシェービングホースが作られていて、それらも参考にしながらとにかく小さく軽くすることをテーマにしました。今回の材料は杉ですが、ツーバイフォーの規格で作ったので、一般の人にも材料を手に入れやすいはずです。
組み立ても、１分で完了。思い立ったらすぐ木工できます（笑）。
設立準備中の日本グリーンウッドワーク協会（仮）公認シェービングホース第１号？
小脇に抱えて全国各地へひとっ飛び。どこへでも行きますよ。
I have made this tiny foldable shaving horse.
The size and the weight of the tools are critical when you need to travel a thousand miles to do a green woodwork course.
There are so many different shapes of shaving horses in the world. I referred to them and designed this as light and compact as possible.
The dimension of the parts are based on 2x4 building timber, so that anyone can easily get the material and make one.
It is easy to assemble, too. You can set it up in just one minute.
This would be the first official shaving horse of Japan Greenwoodwork Association? Carry around and do the courses everywhere!
