たんす名人の小箱/ box making by the master cabinetmaker

前回ご紹介した馬渕さんのお宅では、茶道に使う小箱を見せていただきました。７０歳を過ぎたら自分の好きなことに専心したいと、このような箱づくりに精力を注いでおられます。
Mr.Hiromi Mabuchi showed me his wooden box for Japanese tea ceremony. At the age of over seventy, he now spends his time on what he really wants to do. Such small box making attracts him the most.

きめ細かい寄木細工。ため息がでました。

ご自宅には日本や李朝の骨董のたんすを集め、「たんす資料館」として公開されています（要予約）。
His collection of old Japanese and Korean cabinets are exhibited at the Tansu (chest of drawers) Museum, which is a part of his house. Reservation required.
